The impressive Stirling Castle which dominates the West view of the city and was the  former court of the Scottish Kings.

Take the 246 steps to the top of The National  Wallace Monument to get the spectacular and panoramic views of Stirling  with its meandering River Forth and the surrounding rural area.


Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park only hour drive away, is an extensive area of outstanding scenery with lochs and mountains, offering superb touring, varied  sporting opportunities and nature trails.

Edinburgh, 40 minutes by car and very accessible by train from Larbert or Stirling, is  the capital city of Scotland and home of our new Parliament. It hosts the world famous Edinburgh Military Tattoo with massed pipe bands, highland dancers and other international performers, in the atmospheric Castle esplanade. and also the Edinburgh International Arts FestivalA visit might also include its many museums and galleries, the Royal Yacht BritanniaHolyrood Palace, which is the Scottish royal residence of the Queen, and of course its shopping.


The Falkirk Wheel is a futuristic engineering project substituting locks to join up the Forth and Clyde Canals to elevate boats 35 metres.


St Andrews is an East coast town about 1 hours drive away, it is the home of golf and the famous old university.  It has extensive sandy beaches.


Culross just North of the Kincardine Bridge, is a unique time capsule of a 17th C Scottish town.


Castle Campbell is the reward for taking the wonderful walk up through Dollar Glen.


Doune, only 4 miles away, has its medieval castle and the Scottish Antiques Centre
